I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. Born in Brooklyn, New York and growing up in the city, I started my photography career in fashion and illustration. Moving to Washington, D.C. in the early 1970’s, I began exhibiting in galleries and photographing for local designers. My undergraduate and graduate degrees both in Fine Art has prepared me for the last 46 years of my career. In Miami, I have been a gallery owner, Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami, and a teacher at Ransom Everglades College Preparatory School, a commissioned photographer for corporations, hotels, banks, and private collectors. Just as a photographer develops “their eye,” my years in business have resulted in my having an eye for the strategies that can best help businesses succeed and with special emphasis not just on the creative side but also the operations side. Stepping back and viewing your industry from the outside looking in allows me to see the strengths and weaknesses of many different types of companies. My love of teaching and solving problems resulted in beginning several years ago to work as a contract business strategist with a select group of business owners, some photographers but many in businesses not in the creative realm, such as one of Florida’s premier summer camp facilities. The services I offer to these clients include review and oversight of their marketing materials, both print and digital, and operations advice in areas ranging from operations to human resources.
